World History/World War I

World War I was a global war fought between 1914 and 1918. Out of all the wars ever fought, the most people died, the most countries were involved and caused the most destruction. But when World War II occurred it was far, far worse.

Causes

The main cause of the war was the assassination of Austria's heir to the throne on 28 June 1914. But it other causes.

End of the war

The war ended on 11:11 a.m. on 11 November 1918. But that was not the complete end of the war The Treaty of Versailles was signed on 28 June 1919, exactly 5 years after the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, Archduke of Austria.
