Props are usually the some of the biggest players on the field. They are part of the scrum. There are 2 props on the field per team.

• Hold the front row together

• Mark and tackle the other team's big players
• Be active in the ruck
• Be ready to run the ball into the other team's defense

• Lift the lock into the air
• Be ready to stop the other team if they steal the throw-in
