Features

An alligator is a kind of reptile.

Every reptile has features that make them different from other animals.

  • Reptiles always have a backbone, even if it is a very small one.
  • Their bodies are covered in scales.
  • They have lungs.
  • They are cold blooded. This means that their body temperature changes depending on the weather. If it is hot outside, their body temperature rises. If it becomes cold, their body temperature drops.
