Active editors here may want to discuss rough guidelines for assessing when a candidate for adminship or bureaucratship has gained community approval / what your interpretation of community consensus is. See for instance the recent adminship vote, which (with 86% approval) would satisfy the adminship-consensus criterion on most small wikis. Sj 01:20, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I believe on a small wiki like this 2/3 support or more for an administratorship request should be enough to pass and 3/4 or more for bureaucratship. That's what the Simple English Wikipedia uses as a standard also. (Wikipedia:Criteria_for_administratorship#A_successful_request) Maximillion Pegasus 01:29, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Temp adminship

As Spacebirdy said here, when there is less than 5 users participating in a RfA, temporary adminship is usually granted instead of permanent. This means that User:Michael and User:Cromwellt should have received temporary adminship instead of permanent, as only one user participated in their requests. (see here, Michael's is under 2005 and Cromwellt's directly above) Maximillion Pegasus 15:53, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What are you proposing? Are you just mentioning it, or are you after desysopship? Regards, Microchip08 (talk) 15:57, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I'm mentioning it to see what the rest of the community thinks. I'm not proposing they be de-sysoped, but maybe a request to confirm their status or something similar. Maximillion Pegasus 16:03, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Personally, I'm indifferent. Does it matter, really? Regards, Microchip08 (talk) 16:12, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If someone wants to put in a request to confirm my adminship, I don't mind. If that happens, please take into consideration the following: I know I'm rather inactive here, but if it comes down to it, I personally don't see that in and of itself as a reason to de-sysop me. All my edits here have been good-faith ones, and I think my contributions have been good ones. I plan on being at least slightly active here (once-in-a-blue-moon) in the future.
I would appreciate it if someone would let me know (by email if possible) the results of any confirmation request regarding me. --Cromwellt|talk|contribs 18:49, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Abigor's RFA

What ever happened to Abigor? According to the archive, he/she was given status, but that name does not appear on the automated list or on this project page. What happened there? --Cromwellt|talk|contribs 18:38, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

S/he requested his/her rights to be removed at meta. TheAE talk 17:50, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I let my rights removed because some people here see adminship as a big status, and I see this as a bad thing. I will not go down with this ship Abigor
