Banana bread is an easy recipe. It's a great way to use bananas that are too ripe.

Some yummy banana bread

Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/2 cups of white sugar
  • 1/2 cup of soft butter
  • 3 mashed bananas (if they're more ripe the bread will be better)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Turn the oven on and set to bake at 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 8 inches x 4 inches loaf pan.
  3. Put all the ingredients into a big bowl. Stir well.
  4. Pour the mixed ingredients into the pan.
  5. Bake on the middle shelf of the oven for 60 minutes, or one hour.
